The Combat Medic Course is designed for the military medic that has completed his or her initial medic training and is ready to take the next step in understanding and applying the basic skills. This10 day 100-HOUR course will apply advanced interventions and  treatment modalities, along with extrication techniques.  We also give the medic the core fundamentals of being able to expand the medical capabilities of their team by teaching others life saving techniques every operator needs.  The combat medic course introduces evidence-based, life-saving techniques and strategies for providing the best trauma care on the battlefield.  VAMS conducts the Combat Medic Course under the auspices of the NREMT PHTLS program, the recognized leader in prehospital trauma education.
