VAMS HQ

In 2018, we opened our new training facility at historic Fort McClellan in Anniston, Alabama. We have 13,000 feet of training area on 7 acres of land. The facility has 2 training theaters, a skills lab, and disaster response rooms in which student can be engaged in various different situations. Come take a look around.

Wilderness First Aid

Our Wilderness First Aid Course is designed for the outdoor enthusiast who spends time hiking, backpacking, camping, or any amount of time adventuring outdoors. This 16-hour course spends 2 days in a fast-paced and challenging environment which teaches students the skills required to manage medical illness and traumatic injuries encountered in the wilderness.

TECHNICAL ROPE RESCUE & EXTRICATION

The Technical Rope Rescue & Extrication Course is a 5 day 56-hour course designed to prepare participants to meet the education and training skills, along with experience required to conduct Technical Rope Rescue & Extrication of patients located in low to high-angle wilderness environments.

TACTICAL EMERGENCY CASUALTY CARE (TECC)

TECC uses lessons learned from our military and applies them to the civilian world of tactical medicine.  This 3 day 24-hour course covers topics designed to decrease preventable death in the tactical situation.

TACTICAL COMBAT CASUALTY CARE COURSE (TCCC)

TCCC has become the standard of care for the tactical management of combat casualties within the Department of Defense and is the sole standard of care dually endorsed by both the American College of Surgeons and the NAEMT for casualty management in tactical environments. This 3 day, 24-hour course covers topics designed to decrease preventable death in tactical situations.
